All of my exams have finished now but there is still a French Oral looming. The fact of the matter is it only lasts 5-6 minutes but I am terrified! They will be the longest six minutes, 360 seconds of my life! 360 seconds doesn't sound as bad so that's how long I will think of it being! All of my exams went well and I was pleased with my English so fingers crossed! August 23rd is results day, so quite a while to go.
This weekend I was supposed to be walking in the Peak District and completing my bronze D of E award but unfortunately I came down with a sickness bug the night before and was unable to go. I am gutted. Life is so unfair sometimes but I really hope that my group all have a fantastic time and they don't get deferred! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to complete it early next term but right now I am not sure what my options are.
I finish school next Friday and am really looking forward to the holidays. My exams have been dragged out over 5 weeks and in between homework and projects have taken up my spare time. I am exhausted and looking forward to some free time! This summer holiday I am volunteering in my local library and helping in an Oxfam Bookshop. I will also be spending a lot of time in the gym getting fit the hockey season. I am sure the holidays will be over quickly so I keen to make the most of them!
I have finished 'The Book Thief' and it was even better than I remembered. The story from Death's perspective is so unusual and thought provoking. Again the ending made me cry but I shall say no more about that.
This post is a little 'bitty' but I felt the need to write something to say thank you so much getting me over 1000 views! I am thrilled and very grateful to anyone who took the time to read one of my posts. Thanks again and there will be more on the way.
About Me
- Caroline
- Hello, my name is Caroline and I'm 16 years old. I am currently doing my GCSEs with my options as History, Geography and Latin. Latin? Why is she doing latin? Sometimes I ask myself that same question after an hour and 20 minutes of it! But I love seeing where languages came from, the connections to English especially. Latin is in my eyes the founder language and the language of words. I love words and English so it's only natural that I enjoy Latin. My main interest other than writing my blog is reading and as I develop my blog I am hoping to indulge you all with my thoughts on books, reading and where I think their future is heading. My Blog is a place where I can express my opinion as a teenager and to just write. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts and if you would like to comment then please feel free. Constructive criticism is just what I need as I'm still learning and figuring out what I want to do in life.
